We’ve lost a wonderful part of our lives. 

Barber. Friend. Brother. Regan was one of us. His laugh was heartwarming, his humor was wicked and he brought a calm, kind presence to any room he was in.

We are lucky having had him in our lives and will miss him every day.

Matt | little barber

Matt was born and raised in Ohio. He lived in Detroit for a year after college, then moved to Colorado for 10 years. After a spell in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, he landed in Austin, where he plans to stay.

After losing his 9-5 job he needed a haircut and his wife gave him a gift package that included a haircut and hot lather shave. He enrolled in barber school the following week and has been in love with the craft ever since. Matt acquired his license in 2013. He’s committed to his trade and enjoys staying current on industry trends. He’s taken classes with the Schorem Barbers in Rotterdam and loves tight fades, pompadours, and long flow equally.

When he’s out of the shop, Matt enjoy’s traveling with his wife, spending time with their dogs and hanging out with friends.

TRAVIS M. | HONEST BARBER

Travis grew up in Los Angeles CA and acquired his cosmetology license in 2010. While working in a variety of salons he became well versed in all different lengths, textures, and styles of hair. As time went on, Travis realized he had a knack for men’s hair, so, he decided to go back to school and earn his barber license.

Travis has worked as a barber in Los Angeles, Portland and now here in Austin where he plan to stay. When he’s not at the barbershop you can find Travis with his wife and dog hitting the hiking trails. 

Travis is an exceptional haircutter and all around solid guy. Grab a spot with him today!

dan | little BARBER

Danielle (affectionately Dan) was born and raised in Northern California. She moved to Austin in 2008 and never looked back! Thanks to COVID, she decided on a career change and enrolled in cosmetology school. However, she fell in love with barbering and never looked back! From bald fades, long flow and everything in between, Dan has it all!

When she's not at the shop, you can find Dan dancing around her house to punk with her three boys or watching anything true crime. She and her husband enjoy everything Star Wars, going to shows and playing darts.

Dan's goal in life is to live her authentic self. From her colorful hair, her pink workstation or the rainbows and glitter that follow her, she hopes to inspire others to do the same. 

Jody M. | Honest BARBER

Jody was born and raised in Maryland, receiving her license and beginning her hair industry career in 2006. Moving to Austin with her spouse and two dogs in 2019.

Jody loves creating everyday hairstyles, meeting the unique needs of each individual client, specifically creating a style that continues looking great throughout the haircut cycle. 

In her spare time you can find Jody outside with her dogs and spouse camping, running, reading or finding the perfect beer to compliment a slice of pizza. 

DANIEL | HONEST BARBER

Daniel was born in Wurzburg, Germany and raised an army brat.

He moved to central Texas in 1996 and has lived in Austin since 2007.

For the past 10 years Daniel has been cutting hair in Austin. He enjoys cutting all textures & lengths of hair. Since Covid he gained a new passion for the makeover cut.

You can catch him in a local record shop digging for deep cuts, paddle boarding on Town Lake, or on a social bicycle ride. He also enjoys spending time with his killer chihuahua, family & friends.

TINA | LITTLE BARBER

Tina is a born and raised Texan. Licensed in 2007, Tina has over 16 yrs of experience cutting hair in Texas.

Tina is an exceptional haircutter, catering to all styles short, medium and long. She loves helping clients express their personality and feel their best with a catered consultation and full style out.

During her free time you can find her boxing, hiking, biking and listening to live music.

Dave “Spoon” | Honest BARBER

Dave  is a multifaceted individual with a plethora of experiences that have shaped him into the remarkable person he is today. A retired chef, and army veteran, Dave has dedicated his life to pursuing his passions and serving others with unwavering commitment.

Despite his success as a chef , Dave was always on the lookout for new challenges. It was then that he discovered his passion for barbering. He acquired his license in 2023 and has honed his skills to meet the highest expectation levels.

Dave blends his culinary expertise and passion for music with the art of barbering, creating an immersive experience for his clients.

TRISTEN | LITTLE BARBER

Tristen is a new Texan! He grew up in a small ranch town before some time nearby on the Florida coast, finally making Austin his home.

Licensed in 2018, Tristen is an exceptional talent who matches his cutting style with his clients vibe. He’s well versed in all manner of haircuts including tight fades, long haircuts and everything in between.

When free to, he enjoys finding the fun that Austin has to offer: comedy, music, racing, nature, food, and all around good people and good times.

victoria | HONEST BARBER

Victoria is originally from Los Angeles, then moving to Ohio where she obtained her license in 2014. She relocated to Texas in early 2024 and has been loving it!

Victoria has been obsessed with doing hair since she was little. Her first job in the industry was working as a salon receptionist when she was 12! She remembers watching her Dad shaving his face really young. She tried the technique on her face but due to the lack of hair she decided to shave off an eyebrow instead 😂 Luckily, the eyebrow grew back and Victoria began her journey. 

Like many of us, Victoria was initially drawn to women’s hair then quickly discovered a passion for barbering. She’s an extraordinary barber. She is well rounded in every technique and excels at skin fades, gentleman’s cuts and everything in between. She loves doing straight razor shaves!

She has always had a passion for the 1950s and in her youth she would always present that way. Today, she still loves the movies and music. In her spare time she loves spending time with her family, traveling and trying new food!

SAM | LITTLE BARBER

Sam is a passionate artist with roots in Los Angeles and a heart that belongs to Austin, where she has called home for the last decade. When she’s not behind the barber chair, she can be found hiking, roller skating, or bringing her latest creative project to life.

Thriving on hands-on work, Sam found barbering to be the perfect blend of artistry and craftsmanship. She honed her skills at IMPACT Barber Academy, earning her license in 2025, all while having the opportunity to apprentice under Matt at Little Barber. For Sam, every cut is more than just a job—it’s an opportunity to create something special.

ADAM | HONEST BARBER

Adam was born and raised in San Diego, California, but has been a bit of a nomad for much of his life. While working in the music industry in his younger years, he struggled to find a good haircut while on the road. Determined to change that, he decided to learn the craft himself.

Fast forward a few years, and in 2009, he made the decision to attend barber school in Phoenix, Arizona. After graduating, he went to work for the owner’s family at a Russian-owned school and shop, where he was taught many old-school traditions and techniques.

Having worked in multiple states and pursued a wealth of continuing education, Adam opened his own shop in Salt Lake City in 2019—just four months before the pandemic hit. Through hard work and perseverance, he navigated the challenges and, in 2024, decided to trade snow for sunshine, making the move to Texas. He found his way to Honest Barber and couldn’t be happier about it.

In his free time, you can find him hanging out with his dog, riding his motorcycle, or writing music.

kirk | Little BARBER

Kirk Brown was born in Austin, Texas, and although he has lived all over the U.S., he has been back in Austin for over a year now and he plans to stay.

A graduate from Impact Barber Academy in North Austin, he earned his barber’s license in 2025. His barbering journey began in high school, cutting hair for his fellow bandmates. After several years as a welder he took a hard look at barbering. Kirk discovered that hair hair is art and every day in the shop is like hanging out with good friends. Which is exactly what he was looking for.

Kirk has always had a love for pompadours and classic gentleman cuts, but he also appreciates a good set of curls.

On his days off, you can find Kirk at Barton Springs or tending to plants all around town.
