We’ve lost a wonderful part of our lives. 

Barber. Friend. Brother. Regan was one of us. His laugh was heartwarming, his humor was wicked and he brought a calm, kind presence to any room he was in.

We are lucky having had him in our lives and will miss him every day.

Matt | little barber

Matt was born and raised in Ohio. He lived in Detroit for a year after college, then moved to Colorado for 10 years. After a spell in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, he landed in Austin, where he plans to stay.

After losing his 9-5 job he needed a haircut and his wife gave him a gift package that included a haircut and hot lather shave. He enrolled in barber school the following week and has been in love with the craft ever since. Matt acquired his license in 2013. He’s committed to his trade and enjoys staying current on industry trends. He’s taken classes with the Schorem Barbers in Rotterdam and loves tight fades, pompadours, and long flow equally.

When he’s out of the shop, Matt enjoy’s traveling with his wife, spending time with their dogs and hanging out with friends.

TRAVIS | HONEST BARBER

Travis grew up in Los Angeles CA and acquired his cosmetology license in 2010. While working in a variety of salons he became well versed in all different lengths, textures, and styles of hair. As time went on, Travis realized he had a knack for men’s hair, so, he decided to go back to school and earn his barber license.

Travis has worked as a barber in Los Angeles, Portland and now here in Austin where he plan to stay. When he’s not at the barbershop you can find Travis with his wife and dog hitting the hiking trails. 

Travis is an exceptional haircutter and all around solid guy. Grab a spot with him today!

dan | little BARBER

Danielle (affectionately Dan) was born and raised in Northern California. She moved to Austin in 2008. Thanks to COVID, she decided on a career change and enrolled in cosmetology school. However, she fell in love with barbering and never looked back! From bald fades, long flow and everything in between, Dan has it all!

When she's not at the shop, you can find Dan dancing around her house to punk with her three boys or watching anything true crime. She and her husband enjoy everything Star Wars, going to shows and playing darts.

Dan's goal in life is to live her authentic self. From her colorful hair, her pink workstation or the rainbows and glitter that follow her, she hopes to inspire others to do the same. 

Jody | Honest BARBER

Jody was born and raised in Maryland, receiving her license and beginning her hair industry career in 2006. Moving to Austin with her spouse and two dogs in 2019.

Jody loves creating everyday hairstyles, meeting the unique needs of each individual client, specifically creating a style that continues looking great throughout the haircut cycle. 

In her spare time you can find Jody outside with her dogs and spouse camping, running, reading or finding the perfect beer to compliment a slice of pizza. 

TRISTEN | LITTLE BARBER

Tristen, like many of us, is a transplant. He grew up in a small ranch town near the the Florida coast before, falling in love with and, making Austin his home.

Licensed in 2018, Tristen is an exceptional talent who matches his cutting style with his clients vibe. He’s well versed in all manner of haircuts including tight fades, long haircuts and everything in between.

When free to, he enjoys finding the fun that Austin has to offer: comedy, music, racing, nature, food, and all around good people and good times.

kirk | HONEST BARBER

Kirk was born in Austin, and although he has lived all over the U.S., he has been back in Austin for over a year now and he plans to stay.

His barbering journey began in high school, cutting hair for his fellow bandmates. After several years as a welder he took a hard look at barbering.

Kirk loves art and good times. Discovering hair IS art and every day in the shop is like hanging out with good friends, he was hooked.

Ultimately enrolling and graduating from Impact Barber Academy in North Austin, Earning his barber’s license in 2025. Kirk loves pompadours, classic cuts, curls and everything in between.

On his days off, you can find Kirk at Barton Springs or tending to plants all around town. He’s a great talent and the best dude you’ll meet. We’re lucky to have him!

MICHAEL | LITTLE BARBER

Michael, is born & raised in South Texas. Landing in Austin in 1992. Over the span of 25 years, he immersed himself in the dynamic world of food and beverage, mastering the art of hospitality and customer service.

Fueled by his thirst for knowledge and a passion for helping others, Michael returned to college to pursue a degree in addiction counseling. This decision underscored his empathy and commitment to making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

Seeking a fresh challenge and drawn to the energy and satisfaction of delivering a proper haircut, Michael pivoted to barbering, . Enrolling at Impact Barber Academy,  he honed his skills and embraced the creativity of his new craft. Acquiring his license in 2023.

Outside of work and education, Michael finds serenity in the simple pleasure of running along the tranquil trails encircling Town Lake. Additionally, he nurtures his adventurous spirit by indulging in his love for travel, particularly to Europe, where he immerses himself in the rich tapestry of cultures and landscapes.

Michael’s journey is a testament to his resilience, adaptability, and unwavering commitment to personal and professional growth. He’s a well rounded haircutter and a lovely human. We’re happy to have him as part of the team and you’ll love him as your barber.

KATIE | HONEST BARBER

Katie is a proud Texan, born and raised in Dallas. She earned her cosmetology license in 2007 after training at the Toni & Guy Academy, where she honed her skills in haircutting and worked alongside the artistic team.

After relocating to Austin in 2008, she shifted her focus to men’s grooming and found her niche. Katie sees hair as a true art form, approaching each cut more like a sculptor than a traditional stylist.

Outside of the shop, you’ll find her crafting, cooking, reading, or relaxing with her dogs.

Hunter | LITTLE BARBER

Hunter is from North East Ohio, Canton to be exact. His interest in a haircutting career began in a salon in downtown San Francisco where he noticed you can cut hair with a razor.

In 2014 his family moved to Austin where he enrolled at the Paul Mitchell school and acquired his license. He’s been behind the chair ever since.

Hunter loves classic scissor cuts, mullets, 90s heartthrob middle parts, shags and crops. His confidence with his scissors and razor cutting techniques helps achieve the ideal look for his clients.

When he’s not cutting hair, he’s writing poetry, at the lake or river, thrifting, camping, running, hiking, going to concerts, sitting at a coffee shop, dive bar or park. Hunter has a warm, easy way about him and we’re stoked to have him on the team!

dusty | HONEST BARBER

Dusty is born and raised in Pflugerville, Texas! He’s lived in Austin and surrounding areas his entire life.

After working as a butcher for 16+ years he decided to make the switch to cutting hair. He spent lots of time in a barbershop environment growing up, his aunt owned a salon, and the idea of becoming a barber was always in the back of his mind. He finally took the plunge and received his Barber license in 2024 after completing the barbering program at Paul Mitchell The School here in Austin.

Dusty loves skin fades to classic gentleman cuts and everything in between. He excels with his razor work so be sure to try a Hot Lather Head or Face Shave.

When he’s not working he enjoys relaxing with his two pups, family, and friends.

Dusty is an excellent barber and you won’t find a better guy. We’re stoked to have him working with us!

christian | HONEST BARBER

Originally from Southern California and now bringing West Coast style to Austin, Texas! Christian’s a second-generation barber with a deep respect for the traditions of the trade. Licensed in 2010, he’s spent 15 years perfecting the craft and mastering a wide range of techniques from skin fades, crops, and textured cuts to long hair, shear work, feathering, curls, and straight razor shaving.

Barbering is more than a job for him, it’s a legacy. He grew up watching the art of barbering and carries that same dedication to precision and service into every appointment.

Outside the shop, he enjoys spending time with my family, hiking, exploring Austin, working on my car, and diving into reading and research.

Whether you’re after a classic cut, a smooth shave, or a modern style, his goal is to give you a fresh look and a genuine barbershop experience every time you sit in his chair.

Javi | LITTLE BARBER

Javi is originally from Dallas, Texas, but since his family moved him here in middle school he’s technically an Austin native. 

Licensed in 2025, Javi’s path to barbering started at the front desk of a men’s salon. Being surrounded by skilled barbers on a daily basis sparked his interest in the craft. Which eventually led Javi to Impact Barber Academy where he developed his passion that he continues building on every day.

Javi is a well rounded barber, catering to all men’s styles. He loves clean skin fades and creative punk cuts with sharp, edgy finishes — styles that let him combine artistry with crisp execution.

When he’s not behind the chair, Javi is usually at the gym or catching up on the latest anime, keeping life balanced and inspiration flowing.

eric | honest BARBER

Eric is a proud Austinite, and has grown up all throughout the Austin area.

Working the front desk in several barbershops, he learned quickly that hair is much more than how long or short it is; he fell in love with the barber/client dynamic and all throughout 2024 attended Impact Barber Academy, acquiring his license in early 2025. 

Eric loves burst fades, mullets and a classic businessman haircut. He also enjoys a good ol’ head shave and giving all of his clients a top tier experience. 

When not in the shop, Eric can be found cosplaying at conventions throughout Texas, spending time with his fur babies and practicing Tai Chi.
